Custom Accounts
CA-SHING can check just one or many Custom
Accounts. CA-SHING does this by going to a webpage that you create the
returns results that are read in by the CA-SHING program. When ever their is a difference in the amount of your
current balance CA-SHING will recognize this as either a SALE, if the amount
that it just received is greater than the last time it got the balance, or a
credit, if the amount that is just received is less that the last time if got
the balance.
CA-SHING expects the results to come back from a query in the following name
value pair.
total=400&extra=extra_text
The first field is total. This is the total sum of the balance of your custom
account. This must be a numeric number. You can have this number be the total
sales for the day. The extra field you can pass back it any additional
information you which to display in the CA-SHING program like the item number.

To add a Custom Account:
1)
Make sure CA-SHING is running, their should be a
in the bottom
right hand corner of you desktop. If not, double click the
on your
desktop to run CA-SHING.
2)
Right click the dollar sign
and select
"Open CA-SHING" from the menu. A window similar to below should open up.
3) Select the TAB on the top of
the window which says "Custom Accounts"
4) If the Enabled box is not checked, select the box next to Enabled.
5) Select the "Add Account"
button near the bottom of the window. You'll see a window like the one below.
6) Enter the name of this
custom account. This is what it will be called on the main menu when right
clicked on your desktop.
7) Enter
the URL of the custom page you created that returns the name value pair
described on the top of this page.
8) Next enter in a URL you
want CA-SHING to go to when you click this custom account from the
menu. Usually you make this the URL of you
main login area for the custom website.
To edit a Custom Account:
1)
Make sure CA-SHING is running, their should be a
in the bottom
right hand corner of you desktop. If not, double click the
on your
desktop to run CA-SHING.
2)
Right click the dollar sign
and select
"Open CA-SHING" from the menu. A window similar to below should open up.
3) Select the TAB on the top of
the window which says "Custom Accounts"
4) Select the Custom Account
you wish to edit from the list.
5) Select the "Edit Account"
button near the bottom of the window. You'll see a window like the one below.

Make changes and select the "Save Changes" button.
To remove a Custom Account:
1)
Make sure CA-SHING is running, their should be a
in the bottom
right hand corner of you desktop. If not, double click the
on your
desktop to run CA-SHING.
2)
Right click the dollar sign
and select
"Open CA-SHING" from the menu. A window similar to below should open up.
3) Select the TAB on the top of
the window which says "Custom Accounts"
4) Select the Custom Account
from the list in which you wish to remove.
5) Select the "Remove Account"
button near the bottom of the window.
6) You will be asked to
confirm your removal of this account. Select "Yes" to remove the account.
